Harvey, a 2 year old rescued Border Collie & Bailey, a 3 year old Labrador, are owned by Fiona.  They swim with their friend, Max, a 3 year old Labrador.  They are quite competitive when they are swimming for toys, making the swimming particularly tyring for them.  We need a lot of toys for this session!

Alpha is a 10 year old Labrador owned by Ivy & Alistair.  Alpha has a number of medical problems, not least, many joint problems with a lot of arthritis.  Alpha has lost a lot of weight since he started swimming, through the extra exercise and being on a diet.  He is a great advert for keeping your dog nice & slim.  Despite his age and problems his fitness and improved immensely since losing the extra weight, not only swimming a lot longer, but also enjoying longer walks.

Harvey is a 2 year old Yorkshire Terrier owned by Sara & Liz.  He swims with his 'sister' Rosie, who needs to swim following a femoral head removal in May 2005.  However, Rosie doesn't really like it, but Harvey thinks swimming is fabulous, particularly if he can jump in.  The hardest thing about Harvey's pictures is deciding which not to use. 

Tommy & Jessie are 2 year and 4 year old Springer Spaniels respectively, owned by Jude.  They are both fit and well, despite Tommy missing a front leg.  He had a sad start in life, being born with a deformed foot.  After a few unsuccessful homes, and a serious infection in his bad foot, the RSPCA made the decision to amputate the leg.  That is when Tommy's luck changed, because he was rehomed by Jude, who is giving him a great life, which includes swimming most weeks.  Tommy & Jessie both adore swimming, and I'm sure Tommy can't believe how much better his life has become since meeting his new mum.

Roo & Caffrey are both 5 years old and are owned by Helen & Stuart. They swim for fun and general fitness, and have a wonderful time. Caffrey used to be nervous of water but you wouldn't know it to see him now. He is extremely confident in the pool and loves to jump in off the ramp.

Reilly is a 7 year old Flat Coat Retriever owned by Peter. He suffers with arthritis and swims each week to keep him fit and mobile. He also loves it, which is an added bonus.

Katie, Roo & Quiche are 7 yrs, 5 yrs & 1 year old Border Collies, respectively. Katie is related to Rosie (at the bottom of page 5). All 3 are owned by Andrea and compete in agility competitions around the country.

Rusty is a 10 year old Lakeland Terrier owned by Heather & Colin. He suffers from Arthritis & Cushings so can not tollerate a lot of exercise on dry land, however he loves to swim and has increased his swimming duration greatly. He doesn't like to drop his toy when he's in the water though, so we have to beat him to the toy each time. Rusty isn't the only one to get fit during his sessions!
