Holly is a 5 year old Rottweiller owned by
Lyn. Holly had surgery on her cruciate ligament over a year ago. She is
still suffering problems with the joint, but is improving her fitness greatly
since she's started swimming. Holly isn't interested in toys, but she loves
chasing a torch beam around the pool, and it makes her work really hard
in the water.
Recently, Holly has been irritated by water in her ears whilst swimming. She now wears an inflatable collar which keeps her ears higher. She seems to rather like it! (Updated Oct 2006)

Patch is a 7 year old Border Collie, owned
by Jo. Patch was diagnosed with a hind leg bone tumour last year, but thankfully,
is in remission. He seems to be benefitting from swimming, which he also
thoroughly enjoys. |

Rhea is a 1 year old Golden Retriever, owned by Anne &
Denis. She swims for general health and fitness. She didn't used to like
letting go of her toys, but she's really got the idea these days.

Star is an 18 month old Black Labrador, owned by Lisa
& Darran. She has severe Hip Dysplasia and was expecting to have hip
replacement surgery last October. However, she started swimming, just
to get used to it prior to her op. She has been doing so well, her vet
doesn't want to operate at this stage. She may need an op in the future,
but the longer we can avoid that, the more chance that if it is required,
she'll only need to have it done once in her lifetime. |

Sunny is a 6
1/2 year old Rottweiller owned by Tasha & James. He has recently had
cruciate ligament surgery. He is swimming twice a week and is recovering
very well. He thoroughly enjoys swimming and his mum has promised him she'll
keep bringing him after he has recovered, for fun and to keep up his fitness! |

Tia, is a 9 mth old Newfoundland, owned by
Helen & Neil. She comes swimming for fun and fitness, and particularly
enjoys leaping into the water off the ramp. |

Rosie, 7 years, and Joker, 1 year, are Border Collies owned by Vee (known as 'Vee the Vet'!). Rosie does agility and heelwork to music with Vee, and Joker will do whichever he enjoys most as he matures. They both thoroughly enjoy their swimming, and Joker particularly enjoys jumping in off the ramp.
