Swimming Pool for Dogs
|Patch, owned by Jacqui & Bill, is a 5 year old Pyranean Mountain Dog. Patch is a PAT dog, and Jackie and Bill take him to a local hospital to be 'patted' by the patients. He has a lovely temperament and his size means patients that are bed ridden can still stroke his head, which can be extremely soothing and therapeutic. Patch swims for general health and fitness, but makes sure 'dad' always goes in with him.|
|Taladh (pronounced Talla) is owned by Jane. She is an 8 year old German Shepherd who has Hip Dysplasia and generally weak hips. Despite now swimming for about 15 minutes per session, when she gets home after swimming she seems energised and just wants to know what else she and Jane can do next!|
|Alfie, owned by Sandra, is a 6 year old German
Shepherd. He has hind leg
muscular weakness and is swimming to build up his strength. He was
initially very nervous about the water, but within his first session,
decided he loves it.
|Barney & Ben, are 1 and 5 years old Flat
Coat Retrievers, respectively,
brought swimming by Lyn & Stuart. Stuart enjoys swimming with the boys and
they thoroughly enjoy swimming for toys.
Bran is a 9 year old Border Collie owned by Sue & Brian. Bran suffers from
arthritis and intermittant lameness. He really enjoys swimming, is becoming
extremely fit and seems to be suffering less from his arthritis.
Freddie, owned by Colin, is nearly 4 years old and he's a Yellow Labrador. Freddie loves swimming. In fact, after his session he always wants to come back in. He pears over the door looking longingly at the pool!
|Herbie is a 7 year old, blue merle Border Collie, owned by Mike and Nola. Herbie has recently been diagnosed with Hip Dysplasia and secondary arthritis. He is swimming to build up his hind leg strength and improve his joint mobility in the warm water.|
